GIS Technician is required by one of a leading Telecom company in Karachi. Suitable candidate for this position must be having B.Tech (Hons) in IT, preference will be given to candidates having B.Tech (GIS) with 2 to 4 years of experience in database / GIS with knowledge of SQL Databases / MS Access.
For this job role of GIS Technician, the candidate is responsible for the compiling and organizing GIS data from maps, databases and other sources.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the collection of data in the field using Global Positioning System (G.P.S.) units
- Conduct programmatic and manual analysis and create reports and thematic maps on the data within the GIS
- Ensure that quality assurance on new or revised data conforms to standards laid out as per the SOP of the company.
Skills:
- Having good command in MS Excel
- Experience in MS Access
- Good analytical and communication/presentation skills.
